TL;DR

  • We're not just building the next Salesforce/HubSpot, but AI-first GTM stack

  • Founded by the team that scaled Smartly.io to $100M+ ARR

  • Backed by top-tier global VCs

  • We're looking for full-stack engineers who are excited about applied AI, build fast, and want to shape something from the early days

Why Zero

GTM software hasn't fundamentally changed since Salesforce launched in 1999. Startups today duct-tape together 12+ tools - a CRM here, a sequencing tool there, enrichment APIs, analytics dashboards - and spend more time managing their tools than selling.

Zero replaces that entire stack. One platform that handles customer research, outbound sequences, pipeline management, and communication intelligence. AI-native from day one - not a legacy product with a chatbot stapled on.

We're in private beta with several YC-backed and top startups globally. Our customers and partners include some of the hottest AI startups in the world. The product is live, customers are active, and we're shipping new features every week.

What you'll work on

  • AI-native features - LLM pipelines, RAG systems, embeddings, and agents that are core to the product, not side projects

  • A compound platform with deep AI functionality and a fast, polished UX

  • Real-time backend systems processing emails, meetings, Slack, and product data

  • Frontend in Vue.js and TypeScript with our own real-time sync engine and custom component library

  • Prototypes and features built directly with customers - no PM layer

  • We use AI coding agents heavily in our workflow. You should too.

Must-haves

  • 3+ years shipping product at startups. You've built things from scratch and owned them end-to-end.

  • Strong full-stack skills in TypeScript/JavaScript. Vue.js or React on the frontend, Node.js on the backend.

  • Solid PostgreSQL knowledge - efficient queries, performance tuning.

  • Genuine excitement about applied AI. You follow what's happening in the space and have opinions about where it's going.

  • Experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) - not just dabbling, but actually shipping faster with them.

  • Good product instincts. You care about UX details and have opinions about what makes software great.

Bonus points

  • Hands-on experience building with LLMs - prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, agent frameworks

  • Experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, tRPC, YJS)

  • Complex SQL optimization, analytics pipelines

  • DevOps with GCP, Cloud Run, GitHub Actions

  • Building design systems or custom UI component libraries

How we work

  • Ship end-to-end: You own the problem, not just a layer in the stack

  • High autonomy: You'll have the context and trust to make big decisions

  • Small team, high impact: No bureaucracy, just high-speed and high-quality shipping

  • Ship over plan: We try things out instead of endless planning

  • AI-augmented engineering: We use the latest AI tools to move faster. You'll work at the frontier of how software gets built

Why join now

This is a rare window. The team is tiny, the product has traction, and the decisions made in the next 12 months will define the company. You'd have real influence over architecture, product direction, and engineering culture - not just write code in a lane someone else defined.

You'd also be building alongside some of the fastest-growing AI startups as customers and partners - the people defining the next wave of B2B software. Few places give you that exposure at this stage.

Perks

  • Shape one of the most ambitious AI products coming out of the Nordics

  • Meaningful equity - you'd be among the first 10 people at the company

  • Hybrid setup (2-4 office days) in Helsinki, or fully remote within EU time zones

  • Travel to global startup hubs (SF, NYC, Berlin, London)

Interview process

  1. Founder chats (30 min)

  2. Technical conversation with the team (60 min)

  3. Onsite work trial (1-2 days)

  4. Offer
