Custom formula properties

Custom formula properties in Zero calculate values from other fields, so you can filter, sort and report on numbers that never go stale.

Calculated fields in your CRM that never go stale

Write the expression once. Every company, contact, or deal shows the result.

What's new:

You can now create custom formula properties in Zero: properties on companies, contacts, and deals whose values are calculated from other fields.

Annual value from monthly value, days in the current stage, open pipeline per company. These numbers usually live in a spreadsheet export or a stored field someone has to keep updated. A formula stays in step with the fields behind it.

What you can do:

Build a formula with a live check and preview

Zero checks the expression as you write, tells you what it returns, and previews the result on your records.

Use results across lists and reports

Custom formula properties work as list columns, filters, and sorting. Number results go into reports as a number, currency, or percentage.

Read related records, history, and lists

Total the open deals on a company, look at a value from 30 days ago, read parts of a location, or check whether a company's investors include a name you care about. Count a record's product analytics events too, such as signups in the last 90 days.

Create formulas from chat or MCP

Describe the calculation in chat or through an MCP client. Zero validates the formula and previews it on your records, and in chat you approve the property yourself. Chat and MCP clients can read formula results too.

Why this matters

A number that has to be maintained by hand is a number nobody fully trusts. With the calculation in the CRM, your team and chat read the same answer.
